In the continent of Cruzon, the people have the ability to use magic to manipulate Quartz. Rygart Arrow is an rarity as he is an Un-sorcerer, a person unable to use magic. He is invited to Binonten, the capital city of Krishna by Hodr and his wife Sigyn, his old classmates from the Assam Military Academy and the King and Queen of Krishna. However, he learns the nation of Assam has fallen due a coup d’état and is now under the Athens Commonwealth, who now set their sights to Krishna where a small Golem taskforce is heading to the capital lead by their old Military Academy classmate, Zess. Hodr leads Rygart to a secret mine where he shows him a mysterious Golem they found built by the Ancients but are unable to pilot it. Rygart, pleads Hodr to surrender to the Athenians but Hodr reveals one of the terms of surrender the Athenians secretly want for Krishna is the execution of the Royal family which troubles Rygart. Just then, Zess forces have arrive and plans to quickly capture the King and make him surrender. Rygart accidentally get’s into the Ancient Golem’s cockpit and is able to pilot it and defeat one of Zess subordinates, Lee thanks to its speed and reflexes. Zess arrives and defeats Rygart, but is force to pull back with Lee when General Baldr and his men arrive. While Sigyn and her engineers try to repair the Ancient Golem, she is surprises of its excellent mobility and the way it was built. The next day, Zess forces returns and attacks Binonten. Wanting to convince Zess to stop, Rygart takes the Ancient Golem as he is the only who can pilot it and heads out to meet Zess.

Our protagonist wakes up in a rundown, filthy room, having no recollection of his past, save for one flashback in which he is running for his life. At this point he does not suspect yet that he is about to fight for his life a second time. Shortly Phantom makes her appearance, forcing him to face her if it is his wish to live. Having been chased through a number of corridors, he has no other choice but to fight Phantom, in which fight his instinctive will to live gives him the edge. Our hero, having defeated -and spared- Phantom, then goes on the find out where he is located, only to discover that it is a desolate desert warehouse. He awakens for a second time, after he is shot with a tranquilising shot by Phantom, only to be faced with the bitter truth: his life has been spared because he demonstrated brilliant talent… at murder. He learns that he will soon share Phantom’s fate, in that he will soon be subjected to brainwashing through drugging and hypnosis. He is given two options: to die or to serve as a pawn, a marionette doll.

This changes when he inherits the "Book of Friends", which belonged to his grandmother, Natsume Reiko, who shared the same ability as Natsume. Takashi starts to understand why he was always targeted by both good and bad spirits.

Story

The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru, is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru’s protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shinsengumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background.

Shounen Onmyouji
The series, set in the Heian era, Abe no Masahiro is the grandson of the great onmyōji, Abe no Seimei. Seimei, who passed his teachings on to his grandson, Masahiro who has lost his sixth sense and the ability to see spirits. Masahiro constantly feels resentful for being in his grandfather’s shadow.
Even so, one day, Masahiro meets a fox-like creature which he names Mokkun who shows him his true potential powers after fighting a demon. Mokkun is actually Tōda, see Teng (mythology), who prefers to be called Guren. He is one of the twelve shikigami called the Shinshō , who has pledged his loyalty to Seimei and is helping Masahiro to surpass his grandfather.
Masahiro’s dream to surpass his grandfather may not be realised easily as not only does he have to convince the other Shinshō that he is Seimei’s true successor, he must also increase his power in order to stop demons coming from China, the other parts of Japan and the Underworld as well as rival onmyōji’s who want to destroy Japan. He also has to keep his promise to protect Princess Akiko of the Fujiwara clan.
